Transcripts
High School Your high school transcript is going to look a little weird. To keep your transcript up-to-date with your college classes, be sure to send your high school a copy of your college transcript immediately after your finals. Your classes may have prefixes before the class names like "JEHP English" or "PSO Trigonometry" (PSO is the old name of the program "Post Secondary Option"). At Kennesaw, you will be assigned a letter grade, and your high school will have to convert it to a number (A=95, A-=91, B+=88, B=85). This can mean that if you know on a scale of 100% you got a 97 and your college teacher considers that an A, your grade will be lowered. You may want to work out an arrangement with your high school counselor where if you can get a signed note from a teacher of a numeric grade value, the counselor will accept it. Be sure to check your grades with your teacher often, because if you take an honors class at Kennesaw, it does count as an honors class, even if your other college classes do not. The counselors have to hand type every grade you make, and may not understand fully the course name, level, and grade of the course you took so keep a constant dialogue going.
College Transcripts Kennesaw Transcripts are available to be viewed, unofficial copy, online through OWL Express. Also though OWL Express, you can request to send your transcript to another college. You cannot send your Kennesaw transcript to your high school using the computer. To do this, you must go to KSU Hall and fill out a request form.
Sometimes in college, teachers mess up just like in high school. I had a teacher forget to turn in our final grades on time. There are two ways to see your grades on OWL Express, and on one way it says I did not complete her class, but the other method says I have the A I deserve (and it also says it on the official transcripts). Before you send a transcript out to your high school if you know there may be an issue like this, tell someone in the JEHP department, tell your high school counselor, and inform the people at KSU Hall. That way, if the faulty grade is the one sent out, everyone knows what the situation is and it's being taken care of.
To see your grades in two different ways on OWL Express:
- Student and Financial Aid.
- Registration.
- Display your class schedule.
- Select semester.
- Show Grades (at the top)
- Student and Financial Aid.
- Student Records.
